My cat is losing hair on his back leg from licking. What to do?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old

Hi there my i recently changed both my cats flea treatment from fiproclear to frontline as im sure they were becoming immune my female cat is fine my male seems okay now but i have noticed he has lost hair on the back of his back leg and he also keeps cleaning it there is no sign of fleas mites or infection just seems to be losing fur around the area i tried to put an old baby sock on it but he wont keep it on is there anything i can use to help with his itching/over livking

I recommend you contact your vet for an antiseptic, antiinflammatory ointment which may help but he may also need an injection. Fiproclear and frontline contain the same active ingredient so if one is not working, the other is unlikely to work either, your vets office can advise on alternatives such as brave to or advocate
