Do you have any advice on grooming the dog at home? Our current situation is not really well and we can't afford to take her to the groomer. Sadly,we cannot afford to buy bird sand for our lovebird. I feel like I have failed them. Please help me. I appreciate your help and advice. Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 11 months old | 4 lbs

You can brush your dog at home with a dog brush or human hair brush. If you truly cannot afford to feed your bird, then you are going to have to find someone who wants to adopt it or surrender it to a shelter, as you can't allow it to starve to death.
