I don't know exactly what the pharmaceutical company's contention is, but in general I find that the mites are usually dead 6-24 hours. The discomfort associated with the infestation can still last for days after the pests are exterminated however. Hope this helps.

    Usually up to 48 hours. Ears sometimes must be cleaned to help removing discharge. I would recommend to have it done by your veterinarian though as it is quite easy to damage ear canal.
