My cat is gasping, stretching neck, sounds worse. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10.8 lbs

I'm worried about my cat he's been gasping all day , I thought it was just a hair ball but I'm scared it isn't , the sound is getting worst and he's miveing his head and his neck is stretched out

Any sign of possible respiratory distress should be considered as an emergency. It is possible that something could be lodged within the respiratory or GI tract which is causing this strange movement of the head and neck. Either way I would recommend have Chico seen by a vet as soon as you can.
