Dog mammary cancer with lymph node spread: What's the life expectancy?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 16 years and 3 months old | 50 lbs

My 16 year old bulldog has adneocarcinoma mammary gland cancer what is her life expectancy? She does have lymph node involvement. Her blood work is good appetite fine/

Hello. I am sorry to hear about Brown Cow. Life expectancy for malignant mammary cancer is unfortunately not very good. It will vary depending on the stage and grade of the cancer. You can get this information from the biopsies and also x-rays of the chest and ultrasound of the abdomen to look for spread into other organs. Overall, life-expectancy ranges are a general estimate, but actual life-expectancy will vary from animal to animal. I would recommend having a consult with an oncologist to get the best estimate based on Brown Cow's specific case, and also to discuss if any chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery are recommended.
