Is my dog unhappy at daycare if he cries and is introverted?

My dog doesn't live daycare. He cries when he gets there for a while and is introverted during his stay. When I pick him up at the end he runs home. Am I hurting him by sending him to daycare? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 10 lbs

Poor guy! It doesn't sound like he enjoys it very much. He is still young, and so he still has the opportunity to be socialized, but it might take the right combination of dogs (personality, size, and temperament). I would talk to the daycare about his progress, or lack thereof, and see if they can do any one on one integration to help him adjust and enjoy his time more. In the end,it might just not be for him.
