Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old
I adopted a male cat from a very crowded rescue. He's very tall and long and only weighed 7.25 lbs, he's now 9.0 a month later. The problem is he has very loose stool and goes a lot. He was on metronidazole for week, but that didn't do much. I am making chicken breast with a little broth added instead of wet food which he seems to throw up. He does eat a little dry food. I can't get his weight past 9.0. He looks like a skeleton and has been wormed.

It is possible that Ugi may still have a worm infection even if he was previously treated. Your veterinarian will be able to prescribe appropriate deworming medications for Ugi. Other possibilities are gastritis or pancreatitis. The course of metronidazole may not have been long enough, the dose may not have been high enough or Ugi may need a different antibiotic all together. Either way, I recommend a visit to your veterinarian right away.
