Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 8 lbs
Good evening, I came home and noticed that my dog( Pomeranian 1yr 5months) had blood in his stool and on his fur. The poop seems like it may be diareha it is spread out everywhere. He hasn't vomited and I haven't changed his diet at all. He hasn't eaten his food, outside of his normal diet he did give him a Purina Alpo dental chews. I won't be able to make it to a vet tonight. Should I be too worried? What should I do?

You'll want to isolate Alex and keep him away from any other pets. Be sure t offer plenty of fresh drinking water and offer a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Be sure to give your doctor call. If you have a close relationship with the office, you may be able to drop off a stool sample. They'll check for any intestinal parasites and bacterial overgrowth.
