Why does my dog cry when pooping and rub her bum on the floor?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old

My dog cries when she poos, been about a month now. I also noticed that she rubs her bum across the floor excessively. Is there something wrong that i should be concerned about?!?

Your dog may have a problem with constipation, her anal glands may be inflamed or infected which can be very painful, there are a number of possibilities. I recommend getting her checked by your vet. If it is anal glands your vet can show you how to express the material from them so it doesn't build up and get painful, or if you take her to a groomer, they can do it when she gets a bath.

    Yes, I would be very concerned about Mila! It's not normal at all that she cries when she tries to poop, that means it is painful to her. Rubbing her bum across the floor indicates itchiness or discomfort. She could have impact anal sacs causing these symptoms, and she needs to see a vet today since she has been acting like this for month. The vet can diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated. The vet can express her anal sacs if those are impacted.
