My new dog is vomiting, not eating, and breathing noisily. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 34 lbs

I've had my Staffy for 1 week. As of yesterday her respirations are grainy sounding and this morning she has already vomited 5 times from 7am, it is barely 9am. My mother is telling me it is allergies, but she also did not want to eat this morning. Any suggestions on what she may have, and if there is an "at home remedy"? -Thank you!

Hi, you'll want to be sure to offer Meeka plenty of fresh drinking water. Remove her food and offer a diet of boiled chicken and rice. There are several things that could be causing her discomfort. You'll want to look around the house/yard and make sure there's nothing she could have gotten into. Also, look for any diarrhea or changes in behavior. If vomiting persists after the next 24 hours, you'll want to visit your local Veterinarian. This is not like to be associated with an allergy.
