My dog's paw is swollen, bleeding, and has a bump. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 7 months old | 21 lbs

I have a medium sized dog who has recently been experienced an issue with his paw. About two weeks ago he was licking it a lot, but I saw nothing, he's got so much fur. He was licking it raw, so a week ago I examined it and noticed a pink bump the size of a penny and it was swollen. I also noticed a small hole at the top of it. I wasn't able to tell if there was more than one. Today it began bleeding like crazy on the top and bottom. I put a sock over it and taped it with medical tape. What now?

Oh no, poor Coby! He could have a foreign body in his paw causing the bump, bleeding, and his licking it raw. It sounds like you've done a good job of covering it tonight, and I would put an Ecollar on him to keep him from licking at it. I will put a link below on how to make an Ecollar at home. Then I would have Coby seen by a vet first thing in the morning. The vet can diagnose what is causing the bump and the best way to treat it. http://dogsaholic.com/care/homemade-dog-cone.html
