My dog's first heat: When will she go into heat again if not bred?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 2 days old | 17.63 lbs

If i not allow my dog to mate in first estrous then when she will again come in heat?

Dogs come into heat every 6 months, on average. It is best to wait until Rosie is almost 2 years old prior to breeding her. Younger dogs tend to be a bit immature and have more difficulty caring for puppies.

    Great question! Dogs typically go into heat twice a year, so Rosie should go into heat again in about six months. You are doing the right thing by not mating her during her first heat. It's not recommended to mate a dog during her first heat because she will not be mature both physically and emotionally to properly take care of puppies. It's best to wait until at least the second or third heat :-)
