Ouch, poor Dexter! Cats can develop squinting and swollen eyes for several reasons, the most common being related to infection or corneal ulcers (scratches). Eyes are delicate structures and injuries and infections can progress rapidly. I strongly recommend taking Dexter to the vet immediately for evaluation so that appropriate medications can be started. There are no over the counter medications available for these issues and cats' eyes can be quite sensitive even to some prescription based antibiotics. Make sure that Dexter is wearing an e-collar (cone) to prevent him from rubbing or scratching at his eye, make the issue worse. I hope that he is feeling better soon!

It could be a dental problem, or it could be Chewie had something in his eye. I would keep a close eye on him for now, and if he starts having these problems again, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
