My dog makes retching and coughing sounds when excited. What's the cause?

My dog keeps making these horrific retching/coughing sounds. They occur particularly when she gets excited. Any idea as to what could be causing this? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 85 lbs

It is possible she has a respiratory infection, tracheal disease or may have a mass compressing her windpipe. I recommend a full physical exam by your vet if this has persisted beyond 5 days, she has a fever or has any difficulty or discomfort while swallowing
