Why is my kitten chewing towels and biting so much? Is it teething?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 13 days old | 13 lbs

My 10.5week ragdoll kitten has begun chewing a towel a lot. He like falls asleep chewing and bitting it keeping in mouth. Sometimes he tries to pull his teeth out by biting towel and dragging it out with hind legs. He also opens mouth in between play. Is it teething symptom?

Give him a frozen towel that he can chew on to help alleviate the pain of growing in his new chompers. You can also find special teething rings at the pet store made of soft rubber or plastic that Baluu can happily gnaw away on.
