You might consider a supplement with both collagen and biotin. Collagen is a pure protein that will provide your dog with more energy while improving things like hip function, joint function, and mobility. Biotin is commonly known as vitamin H. It is necessary for a dog’s growth, digestion and muscle function. These ingredients work together to strengthen nails, improve skin and coat conditions, and prevent skin allergies.

You can try giving Lola a supplement with Omega-3 fatty acids, as this can help overall skin and nail health. I personally prefer Welactin over some of the other products available. Recurrently broken nails can also be due to endocrine/metabolic disorders, such as diabetes, Cushing's disease or hypothyroidism. If Lola has had any noticeable changes in her appetite, energy level, volume of drinking or urination, she should be examined by her vet. Otherwise, try the supplement and keep any eye on things!
