This behavior can be indication of impacted anal sacs or intestinal worms. Dogs rube their butt on the floor when it is itchy. I would have Rosco seen by a vet first thing in the morning, and be sure to bring along a sample of his feces so the vet can check for worms. The vet can diagnose what is causing him to have an itchy behind, and can treat him for it. Should he have worms, the vet can give him a deworming treatment. If he has impacted anal sacs, the vet can express them.

Great questions! Yes, this can be a sign of worms, but it can also be a sign of anal sac impaction. I would take Chikis into the vet, and bring along a sample of her feces with you for the vet to examine under the microscope. The vet can examine her feces for signs of worms, and prescribe a deworming treatment for it. If her anal sacs are impacted, the vet can express them. I would bring her into the vet either today or tomorrow during normal business hours.
