My dog is a diabetic and is peeing a lot of blood and will not eat so she hasn't gotten her insulin shot. What could be wrong?

Sasha could have a urinary tract infection or other bladder issue related to the diabetes that is making her feel poorly enough not to eat. She needs a vet visit and urinalysis right away to figure out what is going on, where her blood sugar is, and what to do to get her feeling better. It is good that you skipped her insulin dose because you noticed she didn't eat, but you really need to follow up with your vet to get her back on track.

Poor Callie! These are concerning signs, especially in a diabetic pet. She may have having complications related to her diabetes (hypoglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, etc.) or this may be an unrelated problem - regardless, she needs to be seen by a vet right away to find out what's wrong. You can try giving her some honey or Karo syrup by mouth in the meantime in case it's related to low blood sugar, but I would still definitely suggest taking her to the vet even if she improves with this, since it's important to determine why this happened.

Hello. You can also try Karo syrup or pancake syrup if you feel her blood sugar is too low. If she is unable to swallow it, use a Qtip to rub it on her tongue and gums. Try to get some medical help ASAP. Thank you
