Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Male | neutered | 6 years and 8 months old | 15 lbs
My 6 1/2 year old Bichon Frise sometimes shakes really badly, his body goes stiff, eyes glossy, as if he's having a stroke. I have taken him to Banfield but they cannot find anything wrong with him. Sometimes he has 1 or 2 a day and sometimes not.

It sounds like Benjie may be having seizures. If this is the case, and these episodes are happening daily, he needs to be on anti-seizure medication. Often, there is nothing wrong on bloodwork or exam when a dog has a seizure disorder, and the best way to diagnose what is wrong is by an MRI or CT scan. This is very expensive, and most of the dogs I see with seizure disorders do well on medication even if we don't have a specific diagnosis. Hope that helps!
