How can I stop my puppy from playing too rough and injuring my cat?

How can I get my puppy and cat to get along/ at least be around each other without my puppy almost injuring my cat? My cat is very young still so she likes to play but anytime their "playing" pilot will have her whole head in his mouth, or try an bite her paws or tail! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 months and 20 days old | 104 lbs
