My pup is puking a brown liquid. I have not seen it myself as I am at work, but my boyfriend called me to let me know. What could be causing it? She is around 6 or so months old.

Hi there and thank you for reaching out to Pet Coach. Letti may have been vomiting for many reasons: she has eaten something that caused stomach upset, she has invested a foreign object, she acquired a virus of her intestinal tract, or she may be having a reaction. If her vomiting has stopped, she is drinking water, and willing to eat a small amount of food and can keep it down, I would continue to have you watch her closely for the next 24 hrs to see if she gets worse. If Letti continues to vomit, develops diarrhea, and:or is not interested in food, I would recommend to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. I would recommend that she sees an emergency veterinarian today. Five times is a lot of vomit for such a young puppy. I worry that she will become dehydrated. It is worrisome that she is lethargic as well. Try to offer small amounts of water and get her seen soon. She may require fecal testing and possibly some bloodwork or x-rays. I hope this information helps!
