My dog has a white bump on her lip that's growing. Should I worry?

Hi! My pit bull mix is 1 and a half and over the last week or so we have noticed a white 'bump' on the right bottom lip. She doesn't have any symptoms or strange behavior outside of this bump but it has grown in size over the last few days. Should we be worried or will it run it's course and fade away? Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that Colette does not seem to be bothered by this mass! The only way to definitively determine the type of mass present (benign or malignant) is through a fine needle aspirate and/or biopsy. Without determining the type of mass, I can't say if this is something that should be monitored for changes or if it should be surgically removed. Since it has noticeably grown in just the past few days, your safest bet is to take her to the vet to have the mass evaluated. I hope that all goes well!
