Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 85 lbs
My parent's dog has these really bad skin lesions that won't get any better. We think it is cancer. We can't afford a vet but would like to know what we are dealing with. Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry to hear that Ducky has developed these skin lesion! I agree that cancer seems quite likely given the size and appearance of the lesions. My concern since they are so red, inflamed and weeping discharge is that the lesions may have become infected as well. Ducky really should see a vet to discuss definitively diagnosing the cause of the lesions, surgical removal and antibiotics to treat any existing infection because this will become quite painful. I understand your financial concerns. Consider looking into low cost veterinary clinics in your area - many SPCAs and local shelters offer veterinary services. Also look into Care Credit (carecredit.com) for financing options. There are many non-profit groups out there that provide financial assistance for veterinary services and redrover.org is one example. I hope this helps!
