Recently rescued pup (4 months old) has been suffering from diarrhea for the past three days and today he had colors in his bowels, yellow and red (as seen in the photo). Is this serious? and what could it be?

Oh no, poor Sam! The red color could be blood, while the yellow could be due to irritation in his GI tract or may be pieces of a foreign body. I would have Sam seen by a vet for this problem, and bring along as sample of his feces if possible. The vet can diagnose what is causing his diarrhea and the color of his feces, and can treat him as needed. Please bring him into a vet as soon as possible since he's been having diarrhea for three days.
