That is a very difficult question to answer especially because his diabetes may not be well controlled yet. I would advise you to consult with Spikey's veterinarian to discuss his quality of life and current medical conditions. If there is anything we can do to improve his diabetes such as switching insulin, it may be worth a try prior to considering euthanasia.

I'm sorry to hear about all of Spikey's problems! It can be overwhelming to have so many things going on at once. All of these problems are treatable, so it's very possible that he can still have a good quality of life and live for many more years. If you do want to treat him, I would recommend talking with your vet about which problem is the highest priority to deal with first. Start with that (probably the diabetes, in my opinion, but your vet may suggest something different), and when things are well-controlled, move on to the next thing. If you are not able to manage long-term treatment for these health conditions, as well as the monitoring that comes with it, then considering euthanasia would be a reasonable option. Your veterinarian can talk with you about exactly what all is involved in treatment for these issues, so that you can decide whether this is something you can deal with or not.
