My cat ate a sock and is constipated. What can I do at home?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | 5 years and 2 months old | 18 lbs

our cat ate a hole out of a sock last fri. he has not pooped since Saturday. he is eating some, drinking and urinating. we can tell he is uncomfortable. he is not listless or lethargic. what can we do to make him more comfortable until he can be seen by a vet tomorrow.

Poor Hobbes! That was naughty of him to eat that sock, and it's possible that's the cause of his constipation. He should see a vet in the morning, but tonight I would give him plenty of water, give him canned food to get extra moisture into him, and mix in a teaspoon of canned pumpkin puree to see if that helps.
