Is it safe to delay my cat's stitches removal from 10 to 14 days?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

If vet says 10 days for stitches removal will it matter if I take my cat back 14 days instead of 10 days? She had a mass removed near her rectal opening.

No, in most cases this shouldn't make any difference at all. It's best to call your vet's office and make sure that there isn't any particular reason that they wanted the sutures to come out earlier - but normally, waiting a few extra days to remove them is perfectly fine :)
