My cat Turbo had a severe ear infection. I took him to the vet and they put him on several antibiotics. He has been on prednisone, clovaamox, and zeniquin 25mg. Yesterday he started vomiting. His appetite is low, could the antibiotics have given him gastritis now.

I'm sorry to hear that Turbo has not been feeling well! Yes, it is possible that he is vomiting due to gastritis caused by the antibiotics. Like humans, our four legged friends can also develop an upset stomach during antibiotic administration. Start by offering a bland diet small frequent amounts of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in lieu of Turbo's normal diet. If Turbo's vomiting stops, continue feeding this for a few more days, then gradually transition to his normal diet over another 5-7 days. If Turbo's vomiting continues, call your vet to discuss possibly changing to different antibiotics to treat his ear infection. I hope that he's feeling better soon!
