Hello I recently adopted a cat who's one year old and just noticed she has a black bump in her inner lower lip, is it normal

Congrats on your new cat! This bump on Arya could be from an injury or it could be a benign tumor. It would be a good idea to have it checked out by a vet just to make sure there is nothing concerning about it. The vet can let you know if it needs to be treated or not.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! First of all thanks for taking care of a kitten in need! This lump you describe could potentially be something like an abscess for example. At her appointment on Wednesday, your veterinarian could easily check for this possibility. If an abscess was noted, further local therapy with drainage and antibiotics would be recommended. These are usually easy to take care of when treated appropriately and do not represent a big concern. Good luck and best wishes!
