Is it okay to cut my 6-week-old puppy's thick fur in Texas heat?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 27 days old

I have a six week old Australian shepherd/pit bull mox eith thick fur. The temps here in texas are startingto get high, is it okay to get him groomed/ cut his hair at his age?

Shaving him down at that young age is not recommended. A thick coat protects against heat and sun as well as chilly temps. Keep him indoors in a cool area of the house. make sure Rex doesn't get too chilled though. When he is 10-12 weeks of age and has had at least 2 vaccines, he can visit a groomer for a "puppy cut" if necessary.
