My cat has a bump on his forehead. What is it and what should I do?

My cat had a bump on his forehead. I just took a pic if you want to see it? I'm not sure what it is.

Thanks for including the picture of Simba and his bump. He is a handsome boy! It's possible that he scratched that area leading to trauma to the skin and the swelling. If there are other cats in the home or he's allowed outside, it could be caused by a fight with another animal. I would clean the area with warm water and antiseptic soap, and then monitor it. Should it get bigger or not go away, I would have Simba seen by a vet.
