Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 12 years and 3 months old | 61 lbs
my dog's name is jess and she had a surgery to remove a cancerous lump in her mammary gland and we went to the vet 4 days ago because it was a bit infected and today it opened up, its 1cm long and looks pretty deep we've put band-aid on it but did know how to clean it but doesn't have any dirt in it and she's also on antibiotics. we can't take her to the vet because it's 10 and all closed and we're planning to take her tomorrow. is there anything I should do right now?

You can keep it clean with salt water (1 liter of water 10 teaspoons of salt) until tomorrow and then take Jess to your veterinarian. No need to rush. A buster collar would be useful to avoid any licking. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
