My pit bull's stomach growths are bleeding and getting worse. Help!

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

we adopted a female pit bull who has exterior raised black growths on her stomache. When she knocks the ?scab? they bleed and bleed. Due to her arthritis we give her two baby asperin every morning which could explain her heavy bleeding. Should I be concerned? When we had her at a vet for something else I showed him one of the sores and he told me it was nothing, but she is getting more and more and bigger and bigger.

These sores could be caused by a skin infection that was just starting when you first say your vet, but is now worse and needs treatment. The sores could also be caused by parasites, allergies, or even be wounds. I recommend scheduling another appointment with your veterinarian so they can see what her skin looks like now. Also ask your veterinarian about the aspirin usage - there are better and safer medications available for arthritis that they may be able to get for you. Good luck!
