Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 86 lbs
rash present for 2 days, nothing has changed in diet. No other allergies, warm, seems swollen. dogs gait is slightly changed. Has been in NEW woods/field, 3 days ago was playing with younger dog, over exerted-think may have injured-pulled something in rear leg, limping for a while. male. 8 yr Amer staffordshire terrior - good health, all up to date shots, lime, etc. What could this be? wiped the area warm cloth, applied very lite antibiotic oint (thought it could be poison ivy, sumac?)-no chg

The two problems seems unrelated given your description. On one side the rash could represent a localized skin infection, which requires some skin testing to be correctly diagnosed. Systemic antibiotic may be needed. On the other side the limp could represent either a soft tissue (muscles, ligament etc etc) injury or a neurological problem. Both problems require a check up at your local veterinarian and a physical examination to be appropriately recognized.
