Can Seresto and Revolution be combined at the same time? Blu has been wearing the Seresto collar for about a week (mainly bought it for ticks). I'd like to put him on Revolution since it protects against heartworm & fleas (but not ticks). Will he be ok if I apply the Revolution medication even though he's been wearing the Seresto collar?

Yes you can combine them as they are completely different types of medication. Seresto contains Flumethrin (tick repellent) and Imidacloprid (interferes with the development of fleas and their larvae). Revolution is an avermectin which kills internal parasites such as heartworm and intestinal worms and actually kills fleas.

Yes, these medications can be used together safely since they work by different mechanisms. However, if you prefer, there are oral options for flea and tick control (Nexgard and Bravecto), as well as heartworm prevention (Heartgard or Interceptor). Either combination should work well for Blu!
