My kitten's leg isn't moving after spinal infection. Is it dislocated?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 25 days old | 0.8 lbs

We rescued and abandoned kitten and when we took her to the vet they gave her antibiotics for a spinal infection. One leg is doing great now, on the other hand, the back leg on that same side stays close to her body with little to no movement. She keeps it tucked under and the joint won't separate far from her stomach. Could this be a dislocation?

Given that Lola has had a spinal infection, it could be that the nerves to that leg have been damaged. She may need more time for the leg to return to normal, but I would have her seen by a vet again to have it assessed.
