My bunny has matted tail fur. Can a vet shave it to prevent flystrike?

Hello my bunny has matted fur on the underside of her tail that is too close to cut out and does not wash out. Otherwise she is a very clean rabbit. I'm worried she is at risk of flystrike although we are using a preventative spray. Could I take her to a vet for it to be shaved off maybe? Thanks. Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | spayed

Yes of course you can take her to a vet to have her bum shaved. This is a very good idea. There is also a spot on for rabbits that can be given to prevent fly strike and I am sure your vet can provide it.
