My puppy cries a lot, especially after he eats and he sometimes twitches. I stopped Beneficial Puppy food and gave rice and chicken and Pedialite because he had diarrhea. His whimpering decreased significantly but he didn't seem to be pooping. I gave him some pumpkin and he pooped solid very light in color. So I tried giving some dog food with rice and chicken and lots of crying but no diarrhea. Is it ok to just continue to feed him chicken and rice forever?

I'm sorry Atticus isn't doing well at the moment! Unfortunately you cannot continue to feed him chicken and rice forever. It's not a balanced meal nor will it give him all the nutrients he needs to be healthy. I would try a better quality puppy food such as Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams. Feed him according to the package instructions, and divide the daily allotment into three equal meals. If Atticus is still crying after he eats and twitching, then I would have him seen by a vet for a health check.
