Is it safe to give my cat amantadine and gabapentin together?

Pet's info: Cat | Korat | Female | spayed | 11 years and 10 months old | 14 lbs

Hi, a little over 4 hrs ago i gave my cat her regular gabapentin dose-25mg tiny tab. I don't c where its made a difference in her pain/limping. I have amantadine as well & wanted to know if i can give her a dose now or is it to close to the gaba? Thxs

Gabapentin and amantadine can be given simultaneously, as there are no interactions between these drugs. They work quite well together to manage cases of neuropathic pain! Make sure to follow the dosing instructions from Kitkat's vet closely. If you are questioning the efficacy of Kitkat's medications, consider discussing alternative medication options with her vet.
