My dog broke a nail. Will it grow back if the vet has to cut it off?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 70 lbs

Somehow my dog broke one of his front nails it is still attached but it is only in the very back I know he needs to see a vet but with the nail grow back if they have to cut it off

If it is just the nail without the bone, that was broken, then it should grow back. If the vet has to cut off the whole claw including the bone (last part of the digit) then it will not grow back. You should take Zeus to the vet , though, for some wound care, so he does not develop an infection. This is a very painful injury.
