I'm glad I and the other experts can help you with your questions about Zyra and her puppies! Yes, you can supplement the small puppy with formula from a bottle while he is nursing from his mother. You can giving him the puppy formula after he nurses from his mother if you are concerned he hasn't gotten enough milk from his mother.

It’s possible that he’s simply small and getting pushed out of the way so supplementing with formula may help. I would recommend seeing a veterinarian first however to make sure he doesn’t have signs of a medical problem that could be preventing him from gaining weight.
