How long should I walk my 9-month-old German Shepherd puppy daily?

I have a 9 months old GSD (rescued 5 months ago). I can't seem to figure out exactly how long I should walk her. Once or twice around the block isn't enough. And 50 minutes proved to be too much. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | 10 months and 20 days old | 45 lbs

German Shepherds are high energy dogs, especially as puppies. Ellie may need more vigorous exercise than just walking - although walking is great - such as 30 minutes of fetch in the backyard or secure (fenced) park area. With respect to walking, I would consider 3 walks of 30 - 40 minutes each to be sufficient. You might also investigate doggy day care in your area, to help her get some additional exercise and play time.
