My dog is a jack Russell and he is 10 pounds. He ate about 3 oz. of milk chocolate about a half hour ago. I can't go to a vet so how do I make him vomit?

At this amount of chocolate and with Brewster's rate, the methylxanthine Level is 42.24mg/kg, which will only cause a mild reaction. You may see some vomiting, diarrhea, shaking, increased heart rate, or increased urination. I personally do not recommend making him vomit. The reason is that hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can and does cause severe esophagitis and gastritis, often worse than the initial problem, so it's always preferred to advise emergency care. In this case, Brewster should be fine because at most he will only experience a mild reaction and I can give you a home remedy if you see any vomiting or diarrhea. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.
