My pet mouse is shaking, collapsing, and not moving. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My pet mouse (female white) wasn't moving much earlier today so i held her and thought maybe she was cold. She was shaking and refusing food and water. She started looking better and she was drinking water and eating some. Its been about 6 hours and i picked her up she was fine then she collapsed off her front left leg when i sat her in her cage she started flipping around the cage hectically and was shaking again. I'm really concerned for her.

It sounds like sonic may be having seizures. There are a number of reasons this could be occurring including metabolic diseases and cranial diseases amongst others. You need to get Onix to a veterinarian right away. They will be able to perform testing to help determine what is going on and recommend appropriate treatment.

It does sound as there is something very wrong with her, unfortunately the symptoms are too general to tell what it could be. you need to take her to the vet ASAP in order to get it checked and treated.
