I'm wondering if you mean a different part of Daisy's anatomy than the small intestine. The small intestine is located inside a dog's stomach and should not be exposed at all to the outside. If her small intestine is outside her body, this is a medical emergency. If you mean Daisy is licking her anus, then this could be due to intestinal parasite or impacted anal sacs. Make sure Daisy is up to date with her deworming treatments, giving her one if she isn't. Should she be up to date on her deworming treatments, then I would have her seen by a vet. The vet can determine if she has impacted anal sacs and can express them for her.
