My dog's lump sample was brown fluid. Is this serious or normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 months and 3 days old | 17 lbs

Siu q again:p she hv visited the vet.she did a test that put a needle to extract some sample of it. And the vet said the sample was weird as it contained brown colour fluid. In the normal case, it shouldn't consist. Have u seen such a case? I am thinking about there is an accumulation of tissue fluid(maybe cause by a cut?)

It sounds like your vet did a fine needle aspirate on Siu q's lump. I have seen an abnormal sample from a lump before, but it was my own dog and it was blood. Turns out my dog had a subcutaneous hemangiosarcoma, but removing her tail where the tumor was located was curative. Without seeing this fluid in person, I can't say what it can be, but I would recommend having it sent to the lab to have it diagnosed. Having it examined by a lab will help determine what the next steps should be in this case.
