Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | 2 months and 10 days old
Recently i got a Alexandrine parrot. 1 month has been past. It was on hand feed and was eating totally fine and from past 3 days he's not eating his handfeed. He runs away if i showed his his spoon. He is flapping his wings too much and today he was flying inside the house. I tried to give him fruits and he ate very little. Then i tried giving him some bird seeds and pellets and that too he ate very little. Is this normal behaviour for this age ? Or should i get worried ?

Alexandrines typically wean between 12 and 16 weeks of age but some may wean earlier. Continue to offer Blue handfeeding formula but don't force him. If he won't eat from the spoon, make sure he has a variety of foods and fresh water in his cage. Weigh him daily to make sure he's not losing weight. You can also make a mash of the handfeeding formula and leave that for him to eat.
