My dog is not eating is slow at walking and reacting and is sleeping a lot. She is an epileptic. We feel she may have eaten something which has upset her stomach. What could be wrong please?

Oh no, poor Diva! Yes, it is possible that she may have eaten something that has upset her stomach. She could also be in pain causing her to not want to eat, be slow at walking, and sleeping a lot. Because she is an older dog, arthritis may be the cause of her pain which is common in senior dogs. I would have Diva seen by a vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated. If she is suffering from arthritis, the vet can prescribe her pain medications. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.

At her age this can be pain from arthritis if she is stiff and sore. It can be from an upset stomach from an infection, diabetes, or kidney disease. The best thing you can do is try to help her up and get her moving so she does not get too stiff. You can bring the food and water closer to her and try boiled chicken and rice to encourage her to eat a little. If she is vomiting or not interested in any of these options then I would take her to an ER clinic for evaluation and see whether blood work or x rays will be needed
