When I hear that a dog has red circles on their body, my first thought is ringworm. This is a highly contagious fungal infection that can spread to other animals and humans as well. It could also be that Sophia has a skin infection or may have injured herself leading to these red circles. The only way to know for sure is to have her seen by a vet, and I recommend taking her in today or tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing them and how best to treat them. If she does have ringworm, you will need to disinfect the environment because the spores can live in it for up to 18 months. I can give you a link to a website on how to do this: http://www.livestrong.com/article/49666-rid-home-ringworm/

I agree these areas do not look consistent with ringworm. They appear most consistent with a small area of dermatitis or localized skin infection. This is usually due to bacteria on the surface of the skin. It is common for puppies to have occasional areas of dermatitis as their immune system is continuing to develop and become strong. I recommend monitor for signs of itching or pain and if this occurs have Leo examined by your veterinarian. Also, if more spots develop, particularly if they appear similar to a bruise, then have him evaluated immediately to ensure he isn't having difficulty with his ability to clot his blood. This could occur if he ingested an anti-coagulant substance such as rat poison or some human medications.
