Why does my dog have a patch of missing fur and scabs on her hip?

I have noticed just a little bit ago that on the back left hip(top side) has a patch of fur missing and she has about a dozen scabs, a light brown color that look like they are healing but I can't figure out whAt cased it or how to fix it. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 60 lbs

Poor Mia! It could be that she injured herself causing this patch of fur missing and the scabs, or she could have been very itchy leading to self trauma. I would keep an eye on it for now since it appears the area is healing. Should the area not heal over the next week or so, you notice her biting or scratching at the area, or if it appears to appears to spread, then I would have Mia seen by a vet.
